1-2-3 FLOOR offers a variety of stains and can customize stains to match existing hardwood floors. We use oil-based and water-base finishes. We apply one coat of stain and three coats of finish to all unfinished hardwood flooring projects. We do not cut corners on our finishing work as some other Lake Norman and Charlotte flooring contractors do and guarantee that we use premium finishes.
Unlike the practices of 1-2-3 FLOOR, some other Lake Norman and Charlotte flooring companies use cheap finishing products or dilute their finish with thinning agents and apply thin coats of finish. Some Lake Norman and Charlotte flooring companies only apply one or two coats of finish but charge homeowners for three or more coats. This is strictly forbidden at 1-2-3 FLOOR! Sand and finish typically requires another one to two days depending on the type of finish used and drying conditions. In most cases, homeowners are allowed access to their home after the hardwood flooring is installed. Our Lake Norman and Charlotte flooring customers are instructed to stay off of their hardwood flooring for a predetermined amount of time after the flooring project has been finished (typically 4-24 hours).
